On 29 September we welcomed guests to Summertown to meet UltraClear, with a talk from Dr Mattia, complimentary VISIA skin assessments and two live treatments.
Cannelle Skin Clinic in Oxford opened its Summertown doors on 29 September to introduce UltraClear, the cold fibre laser Dr Mattia Parducci now performs here. Reading about a laser is one thing. Watching it bring a face into focus is quite another, and that is what guests came to see. Plenty of you have read about UltraClear, studied the before and afters and wondered how it would feel on your own skin. This was the night to find out, with refreshments in hand and every question welcome.

Dr Mattia Parducci (GMC 7635663), Cannelle’s Lead Aesthetic Doctor, began with the story of the laser itself, and it is a lovely one. He has already performed more than 100 of these treatments at our sister clinic in London. He explained how the 2910 nm cold fibre lifts away tired surface skin through thousands of microscopic channels. The clever part is where the warmth goes. It stays inside each tiny channel, so the skin around it stays calm and settles quickly. Then came the before and afters from his own patients. The room could see what all that science looks like on a real face.
Every guest also had their own moment in the spotlight with a complimentary VISIA assessment. VISIA photographs the face under different kinds of light and reveals what the mirror keeps quiet. Sun damage sitting beneath the surface, uneven pigment, redness and texture all come into view. It is a fascinating few minutes, and it turned a general curiosity about UltraClear into a clear, personal picture of each guest’s own skin. Refreshments flowed all evening, so nobody had to rush a single question.
The real showstopper was watching UltraClear happen, twice, as Dr Mattia performed two live UltraClear treatments in front of guests. Protective eyewear went on around the room and the skin was prepared. Then the slim handpiece travelled across the face in smooth, unhurried passes while a clear tube drew the plume away. Seeing it up close answers the questions people are often shy to ask, about how it feels, how long it takes and how the skin looks straight afterwards. Guests who were won over on the night received an exclusive event-day discount on their treatment.
For me, the event was about bringing the treatment to life. Combining a presentation, examples from my own patients and live demonstrations gave guests a fuller picture of UltraClear and what a treatment involves. The complimentary VISIA assessments added a personal element, helping guests explore their own skin concerns. It was a lovely opportunity to introduce the technology and help people feel informed and confident about their next steps.
