Your treatment journey begins with a thorough consultation with one of our medically trained practitioners. During this assessment, we examine your skin type, sensitivity, concerns such as congestion or uneven tone, and your overall treatment objectives. This ensures the Carbon Facial is appropriate for your skin and that the treatment plan is tailored to achieve the best clinical outcome.
Once your skin is prepared and cleansed, a thin layer of medical-grade liquid carbon is applied. This carbon acts as a photo-enhancer, absorbing oil, impurities and dead skin cells. After allowing the carbon to settle, a specialised laser is passed over the skin. The laser energy targets and destroys the carbon particles, carrying away the debris they have bound to. This process simultaneously exfoliates, purifies and stimulates collagen production within the skin.
You will meet Dr Mattia to discuss your concerns, goals, and any previous aesthetic treatments. He will assess your facial structure, skin quality and proportions, then build a tailored plan that prioritises natural results. Photos may be taken for assessment and tracking.
Dr Mattia will decide which filler is appropriate for you, the area will be cleaned and numbing applied if needed. Dr Mattia uses premium fillers that contain lidocaine for added comfort.
Once the filler is placed, he gently moulds and shapes the area to refine the result. You will be shown the progress throughout so you feel confident and informed.
Dr Mattia combines cannula and needle techniques depending on the treatment area and level of precision required. Every placement is controlled and considered, focusing on depth, vector, and balance to ensure your result enhances the overall harmony of your face. The treatment itself is over relatively quickly.
Expect mild swelling or tenderness. Most patients return to normal activities straight away. Full settling usually takes around 1 to 2 weeks. You will receive clear aftercare instructions and can contact the clinic at any time should you have questions. A follow up can be arranged to ensure the result is settling perfectly, especially for more complex or structural treatments.
